Here we have a opportunity to own, one of the best running engines that Aster ever made.
The USRA Mikado 2-8-2 livery, this example is in the Chicago Great Western “Corn Belt Route” livery.
The loco features the following.
- Meths fired B-type boiler
- Twin Cylinder with fully working walschaerts valve gear
- Axle and Hand pump.
This model benefits with having a recent service by my Aster expert, and having a full boiler certificate.
This loco has never seen a lot of use if any, and is absolutely great condition. The only marks I have been able to find is on the expansion links on the valve gear.
