Gauge 1 - 10mm - LNER A3 “PAPYRUS” with 2 working Tenders - Built Graham Dixon

Now here is something you don’t come across every day in gauge 1, a Graham Dixon built loco. I had heard of these but never had one through my hands, and I have to say I am very impressed with the quality.

The loco in question is an LNER A3 named “Papyrus”, what makes this loco rather special is that is has 2 tenders and in this case they work almost as the original.

So the loco has a large Meths and a slightly smaller water space in the first tender, and the second is basically another water carrier which is linked via a pipe. So as to get the most out of this feature the loco comes with 2 meths tank so as to increase the run time.

The loco features the following.

- Meths fired Boiler.

- 2 cylinder with walschaerts valve gear.

- Hand & Axle water pumps.

- 2 Working tenders.

- 2 Meths tanks.

The loco runs very well and is very powerful the previous owner used to run it with a Ten coach set of teaks.

Condition wise the loco has been used but is in good condition, the first tender has a few battle scars which have been pictured, and the second tender is as new.
