Gauge 1 -10mm scale GC Jersey-Lilly - Ron Poulters last engine
Here we have a great central Jersey-Lilly, built to the design by Paul Forsyth. This loco is 95% complete from my inspection the only things it needs is a draw bar between the tender and loco, handrails and the screws for the top of the water tank everything else is there. Finally the display axle boxes for the trailer wheels need fitting they are painted and ready to be fitted.
The story with the loco is Ron and his great friend Bernard Parfrement were building a pair of these, Ron’s got to the stage of being air tested etc but unfortunately he passed away before it was finished. I in fact sold Bernard’s completed loco 10 years ago.
After Ron died his locos were bequeathed to different members of the then Bristol group, which is when the current owner was given it.
Ot has been tested on air and runs well on a rolling road.
The loco features the following.
- 2 Cylinder slip eccentric.
- Axle & Hand pumps
- displacement lubricator
- Regulator, blower and bypass valve the cab.
With very little work this will be an excellent engine, anyone who has one of Ron engines will tell you there are excellent runners.
